Voyage

"They spend decades in the vast oceans of the world, and then, if they survive the labyrinth of traps the human race made for them, they return to the beach where they for the first time opened their eyes."

Taken during my stay at the Juara Turtle Project site located at Tioman island, Malaysia.

My one week stay there has been a really meaningful one, spending my time appreciating nature besides doing voluntary work. We, humans who are the greatest threat to her, must know how to take good care of her as she begins to deteriorate. Helping out the dwindling sea turtles is only a small piece of the puzzle. If we ignore the idea of having a place to call home, where can the animals come back to? They were the ones who were here first.
